Applicants will work as part of the Web development team within the technology department of the company. They will be working on a variety of projects including the web based trading platform of the company and the real-time notifications system. This will involve implementing new features and supporting existing ones and will require in depth knowledge of both client side and server side JS, as well as integrating APIs, working with websockets and preferably push based notification systems. Applicants should be adaptable to a variety of tasks and able to read, understand and integrate or improve upon an existing code base.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Implement new, and improve upon existing features to enhance the trading experience
Improve the quality and performance of the trading platform and site as a whole
Implement new features within the in-house notifications system to improve communication with clients
Enhance and optimise the administration system of the notifications system for internal users
Troubleshoot production issues and suggest / implement solutions to ensure platform stability for clients
Provide support to other members of the team(s) within the department
Experience with RESTful APIs
Experience with Websockets client side (Socket.io & SignalR) and server side (Socket.io & NodeJS)
Interest in benchmarking and optimisation of code
Experience with version control (Git)
Ability to work with Product managers in order to translate business requests to technical requirements
Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira / Redmine / etc.
Beneficial Skills & Experience:
Experience with React.JS
Experience with Push notification integrations (FireBase / Pushy)
Familiarity with Redis (PubSub and Persitence)
Familiarity with NoSql DBs (MongoDB)
Familiarity with PHP/MySql
Working hours are are 08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday
The role is located in Limassol, Cyprus
