Technical Supporter

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We are currently expanding our sales efforts in Europe and we are working with a growing number of customers and technical partners within the consultancy and implementation space. We need to increase our “feet on the ground” in Europe to keep this expansion going. Initially, you’d be trained well in using our commerce platform, enabling you to help deliver solutions, support partners and perform problem diagnostics, working with the product core group in Montreal to improve the product and helping partners. With time, as platform knowledge increase, you can partake in project development and core product development. On top of normal working hours, you will be part of a stand-by rapid reaction support team. Incase a customer actively raises a critical production server issues outside standard working hours, you will be part of a two person team that will need to react and begin remediation of the reported issue. In such situations, if you are on duty according to a schedule, the initial contact to you will be a phone call. Your stand-by schedule consists of 8 hours on working day sand a total of three 8 hour duties during weekends. When being the primary person on the work schedule, you are expected to have your phone turned on and able to get online (using a company provided portable computer) within a 20 minute timeframe, in order to diagnose and either remedy the issue or escalate it to our support center in Montreal. When part of thestand-by team you should expect a 30% salary bonus and incidents to be very rare.The methodologies we use vary, based on the team and task you are on. While supporting theplatform, the tasks are mostly incident driven and tasks are anchored in technical customer calls  and help desk requests, and problem resolution typically center around understanding and analyzing problems, creating solutions in a local development environment, locating andrefining documentation, communicating with core developers and product specialists locally orin Montreal and Copenhagen and ensuring a solution is delivered and any new knowledge uncovered is pushed to relevant documentation, bug reports, colleagues locally and in the coregroup.Working with usOur Kiev group have existed for more than 10 years. Technical skills

• Basic Windows Server management skills (familiarity with log reading, configuring IIS)

• .NET, 1-2 years of experience(candidate should have development experience on Java or .NET)

• Web development, 1-2 years of experience (candidate should have good understanding of JavaScript, css, html)

• Cloud platform understanding(candidate should have a good understanding of REST services, cloud hosting)
