Primary role to provide support on Microsoft Windows Server Platform and Microsoft Infrastructure Applications (Exchange, Active Directory, etc.) maintenance and BAU.
Handling infra projects, BAU service improvements and to provide 24/7 On- call support.
Familiarity with Networking topology concepts.
Expertise in Windows Server 2003, 2008 & 2012 R2, 2016 OS.
Expertise in Microsoft Windows Clustering and Load Balancing( 2012 R2 , 2016 )
Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory concepts.
Expertise in Microsoft Exchange Server and supported clients (Outlook, WebApp, etc.) and mail concepts (SMTP, IMAP, POP3 etc.).
Familiarity with Microsoft Lync Server, its basic concepts, and supported clients.
Develop & Executes PowerShell or Command Shell commands.
Expert in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Orchestrator.
Familiarity with Physical Server hardware and Virtual Environment (VMware / Hyper-V).
Monitors and maintains Windows Server operating system and additional server components including but not limited to Exchange, Active Directory, Blackberry Server, TMG Server, IIS Web Server, SCCM, SharePoint, SQL Server, and Lync Server, Orchestrator, Office 365.
Establishes and maintains automated patching for all Windows systems.
Applies patches to major subsystems and services, roles, and file system components within a Windows Systems environment and performs Operating System and patch testing on all changes prior to installation.
Establishes and maintains suitable resource and performance monitoring on all systems.
Experience in troubleshooting technical problems involving software and operating systems.
Controls system access and security aspects of critical systems.
Demonstrates in day-to-day work adherence to security best practices and CBQ access control and security policies.
Coordinating with Application teams for service planning and deployment across the organization.
Experience providing technical support in a customer service role.
Experience using patience, sensitivity and effective communication with a wide range of people, including the technically proficient and those with minimal computing experience or technical skill.
Experience writing technical documentation.
Experience participating in diverse workgroups.
Works remotely to provide 24x7 support on critical systems.
Demonstrates day-to-day adherence with change control precepts and practices.
Provides technical support and customer service directly to end users through ticketing system and periodically through screen sharing.
Works efficiently with minimal guidance from Senior or Lead administrators
Qualifications & certifications:
6 Years of experience in Windows Administration in 24x7 environment.
Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) – Server Infrastructure.
Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) – Messaging.
Microsoft® Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) – Private Cloud (Optional).
